Watkiss Bookletmaker troubles

This one is kicking my butt. The upper most sheet from the collator is not dropping into the bookletmaker completely. This is hit and miss, if you hand feed it, it's fine, works every time. start up the collator and it might feed 100 or 10. Basically the inside sheet of the booklet is not getting past the optical sensor at the entrance, the rest of the booklet is dropping all the way. There is nothing pinching the sheets together, I've looked for burrs, anything sticking out that may stop the sheet. It's not static, that I can tell, running about 45% humidity, static sprayed everything I could. I have .50" of positive offset, trying to get the top sheet in first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Depending on the age and mileage of the machine, you could have loose hard conveyor wheels, causing the outermost sheet to trail behind, causing your issue.
