What do we graphics ppl make around DesMoines IOWA?

I am moving to Des Moines, IA this month. From Phoenix.

Can anyone tell me who lives anywhere in Iowa or surrounding states tell me what is a typical good range for hourly pay.. for a Graphic Artist/PrePress Monkey/ Variable Data Slave?

From SimplyHired and Iowa State Employment wage census I'm guesstimating an average middle range between $14 to $20.

I have 10 years experience from shooting bluelines and stripping film to programming xerox docs and now teaching corporate InDesign workshops. So I'm gonna guess I'm not at the 9$ slave wage end of the spectrum.

Help?

if your good you should be able to find a good firm in des moines. In this economy you may have to wait a while to hit better than $18/hr.
