Where's my file? NEED HELP PLEASE

I had a PDF file then apparently went corrupt, as when I'd try to print it I'd get an error message, out of memory or something like that.

I took it into PitStop Pro and preflighted it then, not knowing PitStop very well, did some "stuff" and off we went, it printed fine. So I go to open the file today and all the file is is the preflight info from PitStop - my 168 page file is now an 18-page PitStop Pro preflight file.

What's up with that? What the heck did I do?

You probably saved the preflight report using the same name as the original PDF file. Good thing you have a backup though, right?

Well, it turns out I'm dumber than that. (Yes, I do have a backup, though). I couldn't see the whole file name and it was the same file name but with the word "Report" at the end. It was cut off, so I couldn't see it.

Dang, the devil's in the details.
