Hello Everyone

this is my first post. I have a print shop in India. Currently I have a Adast 715 and old Manual Guillotine. Now I want purchase a Automatic Programme Cut 30 Inches Guillotine. I am seeing so many options. There are POLAR, WOHLENBERG, FL and Perfecta Machines in the market. POLAR is costly then other brands. I want to know that, which is good machine between Wohlenberg SPM 76 and FL 76 MC. Can any one help me about this.

thanks

Hi mukeshkdhiman!

Let’s start with FL. The French machines FL where sold by Schneider-Senator, then by Wohlenberg. And now I don’t know. This machine made no dealer happy. I didn’t even know that they still exist.
The next is Wohlenberg. There is no more Wohlenberg. Wohlenberg is closed. You can buy a blue Perfecta with the name Wohlenberg.
What’s about Adast? Do they still make paper cutters?
What’s about Perfecta? Perfecta was in the last 15 years as well bankrupt. Perfecta is owned by Baumann. This is a former MAN agency in Frankfurt, Germany which is now selling Komori.

Obviously the reliability of a machine shows over a long period of times which machine is good and which machines is not so good.

Let’s crosscheck my position. Which machine has a high and which machine has no second hand prise? Make a scale and you know which machine is the most loved and which machine is sold is by luck.
Or ask the specialists, which machine in the world is always copied and which of the still existing manufacture always copying?
The next question I would ask me self would be: What is better, a working second hand machine (if I do not have the money for a new machine) or a new machine with a bad reputation?

I would by a Polar from 1997 or younger. This would be 15 years old but perfect. You get spare parts for the next 10 years for sure. Everywhere in the world are people able to fix these machines.

Hi Buntpapier

thanks for the reply.

I have a budget of USD 6000-7000 for a Programme Cut Guillotine. I found FL 76 MC and Wohlenberg SPM 76. Polar of the same year and size is expensive then two of mentioned brands. Can you help me with giving some buying tips for POLAR (dealer or place) within my budget. thanks

If I would be a dealer I would take the money from you. But I am not. I know the situation in Europe. Here the second hand machines are not cheep as well. But still I would take a good machine.
