White powder all over a brand new drum (Xerox 1000i)

This is the first new drum I've installed since I got my Xerox 1000i press and there is white powder all over it. Is this normal? The package was sealed so Im wondering if it's some sort of protective coating or something.

It is ok. The powder is for lubricate cleaning blade against the drum surface. Drum very sensitive to light so keep it cover until install it on machine.
