X Rite 939M on two piece cans

Does anyone have any direct experience with the use of X Rites 939M, a modified version of 939 for use on beverage cans?

I am interested to know what kind of accuracy and repeatability you are experiencing when using these for density and spectro control?

What is the difference between the 939 and the 939M? Is this still a 0º/45º spectrodensitometer? If so, I don't think it would be appropriate.

as I understand it it is a 0-45 degree unit, which should render it unsuitable, but the info I have is that it has been developed with extra/modified filters to allow it to give a consistent result...even on an aluminium can!!!
So far none of these are present in Australia so I am just trying to confirm the "whole truth" of their application if anyone has come across them.
