Yosemite Fonts

I put this into the Adobe thread as Adobe knows the most about fonts.
I have followed the Extensis font guidelines for years now.
I just installed Yosemite on a test machine. The machine was working perfectly - until I took fonts out of the system that I would normally take out.

I had to wipe the drive and start over. This time, I kept the Helvetica that I have taken out for a decade.
Does anyone know if I am going to have font conflicts? We turn off and on fonts in Universal Type Server all day long.

Yosemite uses HelveticaNeueDeskInterface to drive the GUI instead of the Lucida Grande used on all previous Mac OS X versions. Screwing around with Helvetica Neue or enabling other versions of the font will lead to serious system problems. However, you might be able to drop in something else in it's place with the correct Postscript replacement name. When I load client supplied Helvetica Neue specifically Google Chrome seems to go haywire. However, this was also a problem on Mavericks.

Thread I posted about changing the default system font on Yosemite (mistakenly titled referencing Mavericks)
