z6100 Ripper

We currelty have an Epson SP 9000 with Power Rip X. Overall satisfied. We are either moving to the Epson 11880 or the Z6100. I know the 11880 is supported by PowerRip X. When I called HP, they told me the z6100 did not need a ripper as it is built in??? Is this true? When I called power RIP they told me they do not support HP. I looked through both manuals, etc and quite frankly the z6100 looks a bit more impressive in terms of color management (pantone emulation) and maintenance. I like how you can manage jobs and every aspect of the printer through the web interface (HP is famous for this). The Epson may be higher rez but its negligible. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Which ripper are people using with these high end printers? Maany Thanks

many RIPs will work

many RIPs will work

Our largest client has over 600 HP x6100s all running EFI Fiery XF and it works great.
RIPs save about 25% ink use on HP printers.
