Tighten Plate Clamps

Hi
Does anyone know how to tighten the tail edge plate clamps on my AB Dick 9995? One of the nuts that is used to tighten the plate clamp is slightly slack and I know its a 10 minute job for an engineer, but don't want to waste his time (and my money) on such a small repair.

Re: Tighten Plate Clamps

Colin,

That's easy. There are set screws that lock the 2 big stright head screws that apply pressure to each clamp nut.
Loosen the set screws and turn the big screws IN for more pressure. Re tighten set screws.

Ryobi head clamps need to be removed and rebuilt some times. The 9995 takes a special tool to remove the clamps.

Good Luck
