Prinect Metadimension not spooling files...why?

Hi there, first time posting, and help would be appreciated.

we have recently been having some issues with our platesetter, and the RIP had to be reconfigured slightly - it's all working fine as far as i can see - except it wont spool any jobs when the are dropped in a 'hotfolder' from a workstation (MAC OSX). Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Usually the PDF dropped in the folder would vanish after spooling, but now it just sits there and never gets to the RIP. Both the RIP and the workstation have been restarted and reconnected to each other - still the same issue occurs.

I have had this problem when a device was not started. what happens if meta gets restarted when the ctp is offline then it gets paused on one of the device screens. you should have a list of devices installed and weather they are started or paused. if thats not it then you probably have a configuration issue. wrong hot folder listed.

Check in a Virtual printer list, if some of them is paused. If yes, select and unpause with green start button on left lower corner.

Did you recently run an update to 10.6.8? If so, there are some broken files that killed all the printing protocols (Socket, LPD, Bonjour, etc,). Click Here to download the fix file and after it has completed, Resume the printer.

We've been getting these calls alot since the update.
