Anyone experiencing network issues with the Epson Surecolor series over TCP/IP?

Do you have any other devices trying to also claim the static IP addresses you've assigned to the problem printers? This can be a problem when using DHCP, when you run out of IP addresses, but can also happen if two different devices have inadvertently been assigned the same static IP address. They'll "fight" over who really has it and you'll see sporadic drops in network connectivity to one in favor of the other. If you assign static IP addresses centrally, sometimes it can happen when one device is set to a static IP address locally that conflicts with who was assigned that one centrally.

Also, faulty network cabling can cause intermittent issues like that. If you've swapped cables two or three times, maybe even try connecting to a different drop in the wall, or temporarily run a long ethernet cable from the printer to another part of the building and see if it improves.

We just started to have this same issue - using CGS Oris Flexpack Rip and proofing to three P9000s. We've had these printers in place for a long time and all of a sudden a couple times a day we have to hold down the button and let them shut down (sometimes takes 45 min). Once we turn them back on, proofs start coming out. Our newer P9570 and our Roland VS300i are not affected - No issues at all sending to these. We have tried resetting factory settings on one of them and it did not resolve. Our IT person is out of ideas. Has anyone had any further luck with this? @schenkadere

I'm running a Epson P9570 as we speak and luckily never had this problem......(knock on wood) My only suggestion would be see if the printer firmware is updated. I believe for that model its done through Epson Software Updater.

Thank you. Yes we have a P9570 also and that one luckily has no issues. We did do a firmware upgrade a couple years ago on the P9000s when it was required because of the update with the chip on the ink cartridges. I think IT checked and it was still up to date. I appreciate the suggestions!

I looked around online before I commented and seen there was an update a few years ago for the chip thing. Was thinking maybe there could've been another one since. Was prob just Epson put it in the firmware all along to do this so you get tired of it and got buy a few more 9570s.
