How do you adjust a quality work?

How many sheets do you need to achieve a quality print, and what's your procedure? For example, I use three stacks of swatches, printing about 100 swatches and 20 sheets of the print on each stack until I get the right color.

Thanks

The amount of effort (time & materials) to get a press-to-proof color match depends on the sophistication of press technology. Most printers don't buy a press because it prints faster (22K sph), it's because they can reduce the make-ready (MR) time shorter.
CMS = Color Management System (~G7).

You don't need 20 clean sheets for sampling, probably just 3.
Between pulls, do you let the press idle on slow speed or do you stop it completely?

Perhaps the question is poorly worded. What is your procedure for printing a quality job with color proofs using CIP 4 + Expresso 4 technology from Teckhon and a Teckhon measuring instrument? How many defective sheets and how many good sheets? How many groups of defective sheets? When do you decide to start printing sheets?...
