Hot darn, I have been needing this method for various fixes for a loooong time. I have tried the "cut all channels then paste into the black channel" method, with mixed results (probably operator error), but the channel mixer should take care of that! (I hope).

Enfocus makes more than one program. If PitStop, are you using the Global Change? As you are not specific about what you are trying to fix, or which version or even program you are using, it is hard for anyone to be more specific with help, especially as PitStop can do so many things...

Good idea on the custom shortcuts in Corel. I don't seem to be patient or savvy enough to do that. And as I don't even have it installed for work any more, it doesn't really seem to matter much. As for the scroll-to-zoom in AI, try holding down the alt/option key while you scroll, works on mine.

I have used both apps. My only real problem with Corel Draw was that the handles for selected art/objects were always so far away from it, I had problems knowing what I actually had selected. And in general the interface is just so different from the Adobe products, in terms of keyboard...

I have this happen with Windows 7, it is just VERY fussy about not moving or changing files that are open/used in any application (except of course for those changes IN the application). Including fonts in a folder that are installed as "shortcuts".

If you place an RGB image into InDesign to make a pdf, be sure the settings under your pdf export window's output section are set to "Leave color unchanged" or InD is likely to convert to cmyk when exporting the pdf. It can also help to, temporarily, turn off color management, first (Emulate...

My usual workflow is to separate the cover pages out to a separate file. However, if you use the section and numbering, you have it start a new section with page 3, then have the numbering start there with 1. You may then have to have the back cover be in another new section.
