A color device like the 250 will produce better halftones than the b/w only 1050. Of course, they probably cost 3x as much per page, but will look better. When we need high-resolution screens on a large b/w job we send out to a Kodak Digimaster or Xerox Nuvera - they both do nice jobs.

The KM color devices have a banner mode that will print this sheet size.

Hopefully the inks are laser safe as well - the only way to tell is to run some. The term "laser safe" means different things to different mfrs.

DirectSmile can get expensive and they charge a "smiley" fee for each image generated. If you like this sort of thing, check out Directype. They do similar and have recently dropped their price to $399 euros with 150 free motifs for download. Great pricing and no per image charges...
