    Ricoh C9200 Question

We are in the process of getting a Ricoh C9200 installed and a salesperson had this question: If I'm using a 300 dpi image at 100%, or a 600 dpi image (or larger) at 100%, will you be able to tell a quality difference on the C9200? I have this question out to our Ricoh rep and one of their...

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

What I've noticed with existing customer site tests and from tests run at Ricoh's Boulder test facility is that our work seems flatter / more matte....which is actually fine with us. Even on gloss stocks. Our experience with iGen's are the result of the fuser oil glossy look.

Thank you for this great answer. You have me already down the path of looking at the front end options. Very appreciated!

    Stochastic Printing

When using toner based, production level digital print equipment, is it true that the type of front end you use more or less determines the viability of producing stochastic print work? I read something from 10 years back that stated as long as you are using a Fiery front end you can do...

I’m looking for a digital printer that can print on wider banner than 13 inch.

I agree with this logic. I was thinking an Indigo would be the better path to look at as well. I think they offer the closest thing to an offset press as far as sheet size goes....at least total width and length.

I’m looking for a digital printer that can print on wider banner than 13 inch.

yeah, an iGen wouldn't be able to handle longer than 20.5" or I think 26" with an extended package. Also, I don't think they are thinking just 13" x ??....they need wider than 13" to start and then yeah, what is the length?

    Perfect binders- what's the best?

We have a BQ-270 and it has lasted 13 years with minimal servicing. We do about 130k PB books a year. I know the 270V can use PUR. What is your need for PUR instead of an EVA adhesive?

Canon C850 vs Ricoh 7100 or 9100 series.

So by skew you mean the registration is off? I know what skew is...more overall image is crooked on the sheet....but wanting to be sure what you are saying. Thanks!

Canon C850 vs Ricoh 7100 or 9100 series.

We are looking closely at going with one of these two machines. We run about 200K color impressions a month (tends to be slightly lower). We run a lot of P1S, full coverage (flooded) 10pt. C1S cover and a lot of 2 up flyers on 12 x 18 gloss text and cover weights (80 and 100# mostly). The 10 pt...
