Hi, Where are you located? What size cutter are you looking for? I have a 1991 Polar 115 EMC monitor and Polar 72 with Microcut for sale.

Most likely it's the motor or the belt. Belt could be worn out or slipping. Adjust the belt tension. Then replace the belt or the expensive motor.

Measure the brake voltage while moving and monitor when the error scan reference point comes up. Ask someone to move the backgauge while you monitor the brake voltage. Most likely you won't get voltage at the brake when the back gauge didn't move.
