I really wish we could use the POD Deck Lite! Since we have the C1 Multi Drawer unit attached, per my understanding, we cannot use the POD Deck or the B1 Stack Bypass, as the C1 Deck and POD Deck are not user swappable.
I thought the same about the middle drawer on the C1 Deck, as its a...
Hey everyone!
I manage Envelope Production at our PrintShop in Indiana.
Over the last few years, 98% of our output comes from our iJetColor 1175 P, which has been game changing. (Ive been wanting to separetly review this machine and our experience, as we had a bad first inkjet experience with...
We had a horrible experience with our Riso ComColor and after 14 months and quite an investment, we replaced it.
Please know that these units are not designed to run envelopes. They state that are, but when they say envelope they mean standard #10 and they have be impeccable quality. Standard...
We were also getting the hard boxes. I didn’t know they had soft boxes honestly! It’s possible we were getting older stock. We get our PrintMaster from Lindenmeyr as well, as they have a local warehouse, so that’s possible.
I typically stick with Western States becuase they’ve been the most...
That’s so interesting to me! We have seemed to have horrible luck with PrintMaster’s quality lately, and have had much better luck with Western States.
It does not have a Fiery. It uses a Xitron Navigator RIP. I personally love the software. It’s more user friendly than Fiery. We have 4 Fiery servers in the building and I’m not thrilled with it.
I did finally print a variable data job and the buffering wasn’t bad at all. It did not slow down...
We did quite a bit of full bleeding testing and didn’t have any over-spraying in the belt. He showed me the waste ink catch and it seems like a good setup, but I don’t personally know how it compares to older models. I wish I would have taken a picture of it before he put the printhead on...
Just a quick update! Spent a full day with the 1175P today and was happy with the quality on our Western States stock. :) For jobs with full color imagery, we may decide to use the better Lindenmeyr stock, but we were very happy with the output on Western.
Thanks everyone for your input!
Thanks for the feedback! Western was definitely having supply issues for awhile, but has seemed to get a lot better for regular stocks. Digi-Clear is still almost impossible to get, which is one major factor to us going inkjet. We have seen some qc issues with Western, but honestly we’ve...
Hello everyone!
Im so appreciative of all the feedback we've received while we were exploring the iJet 1175P. We are nearing our installation date next week and im thrilled to be switching gears to a machine that has pretty great reviews.
Printware has mentioned that media is important for...
Thank you to everyone who gave input on my last post! A quick summary is that we had been printing with Xante Impressia's for years. Digital stock is now hard to get and we went with the Riso ComColor GD9630 and it was a disaster. Headstrikes like crazy and we are destroying the printheads...
Thank you to everyone who gave input on this! We are actually looking to bite the bullet and go with the iJet 1175P. We printed using two Xante Impressia systems for years and really liked the output color, but it was slow and we now have a hard time sourcing digital window envelopes. They can...
We do run a lot of envelopes in house. With the MSRP of the 1175P posted online, I thought it would for sure be out of our budget. The NXT is a benchtop model with memjet heads. The regular iJet 1175 is also a benchtop model, with the upgraded technology. Being a smaller benchtop model like the...
Thank you! I told the owner that we need to at least explore the 1175 option before just taking the NXT. It looks like the main differences between the 1175 and 1175P, is that one is a smaller benchtop model. That’s all we need. We could get away with the 1175. Gosh, I would be thrilled to get...
We do about 35,000-50,000 a month average I would say.
I would absolutely love the iJet 1175P, that would be my go-to. Do you happen to know what you paid for it? I’m seeing the retail online at $85,000, which is just not feasible, beings our Riso ComColor is $32,000.
