A friend sent me this file from Illustrator. She says ANYTIME she uses any drawing tool the thing draws these repeating diminishing shapes. It is odd the repeating shapes are not uniform. Has anyone seen this and know what the issue is? (She is on CS6 - "Cloud" version) MSD

I finally repaired it yesterday. Even though I turned of our other AFTP server software I neglected to go in and turn disable the services. The old software was taking the upper hand and Filezilla could not connect. Thanks all, MSD

Well, one thing ... the iGEN 3 was very crappy. The 4 is great. With the new matte toners. The 150 is - well the verdict is still out. It prints great but we call service a bit much. Not anywhere close to the 3 but we rarely called in for the 4. MSD

With paints and toners the light bounces off of the paint or toner to the viewers eye With Litho Inks the light passes through the inks and bounces off of the paper back to the viewers eye. Much like a Photo Filter MSD MSD

I believe the Printer needs to spend the money for the TIF license to take 1bit or 8bit TIFFs. - I just send the Signa imposed PDFs and let the printer be responsible for the screening. You could dictate your screen angles and dot gain to them. MSD

I did not see if your app handles multiple ups of various items rather than how many up of one item. We are always trying to fit many small, differing sized items on one sheet. MSD

In the "Page Display" preference of Acrobat there is a checkbox for "Use Local Fonts". Turn that off and Acrobat forces itself to use the embedded fonts only. If something is not embedded - you may then get the warning that Acrobat cannot extract that font. If you see what font is not embedded...

We use seps preview on nearly every job we process. As a last step we turn off the Black and scan through the job to be assured there is no rogue "Built" Black in the job. We, quite often get jobs with RGB Blacks or Profile mis-matched Blacks that must be changed to 100% Black for printing. MSD
