Ryobi 3302 Two Colour Printing Press

We're selling our 2 Colour Ryobi printing press. We bought it from a US company - but never hooked it up - we got a new 5 colour instead and will be using it. The unit is still on a skid. Has 30m impressions. As is, where is. We will load on a truck for you. $4000OBO Call 888 326 6157 x...

MBO t49 Folder w/ Right Angle & Knife Fold

I'm selling one of our folders. We have two of these units and barely have enough biz for one. The unit is in good condition but is being sold as is. The unit is palletized as we had a buyer who backed out last minute, but can be hooked up to power if need be at the cost of the buyer. The...

Forgive my ignorance - is it this simple ... yet this complicated?

I'm coming from a digital large format background, and we moved into a QM DI about 6 months ago. I self taught the basics of desired dot gains, required densities, and the perils of reaching these targets. We are in the process of installing a 6 colour akiyama - and I'm curious if the colour...

    EFI/Pace... anyone using it?

I just pulled the trigger on EFI's Pace solution, mainly because of the Print Flow Foundation solution. Their optimized production scheduling seemed very impressive. Is there anyone here using it? Any suggestions for someone setting up? It seems like a VERY intense initial setup. We do...

    Plant management software - PACE?

We just got back from FESPA (what a disappointment), but I did have a chance to sit down at the EFI booth and take a look at PACE. It was quite impressive compared to Accura, which was the other solution we were looking at - especially the scheduling module which Accura has nothing like. Is...

    Print Smith? Thoughts?

Thanks for the info - I'm not terribly worried about large format pricing as we have some pretty generic prices based on flat rate sheet costs and such. Are there any other programs that compare?

    Print Smith? Thoughts?

I recenlty downloaded a demo of printsmith from EFI, and it seems quite useful. Anyone here have it? Any other software that compares? We do large format (4x8 sheets) digital, screen, 4c offset, 2c and digital - and it seems like a pretty good workflow system. thoughts?

    Alternatives to aq coating?

Is that the same as a 'varnish'? Some of the sales guys I've spoken with have bad things to say about this and claim it marks easier.

    Alternatives to aq coating?

We're looking at getting a 29" press and alot of our customers have been asking for AQ coating (we have a QMDI right now), however there are some really good deals on 5 and 6 colour presses without a coater. What are people's thoughts on this? I am planning to move in a a year or 2, so at...

    Rigging Company in Chicago? *urgent*

I know this is the sheetfed section - but perhaps someone can help here ... I bought an 8 pocket stitcher that I need to get on skids so I can pick it up with a truck next week. The unit is located in Chicago. Thanks in advance!

Thinking about moving up from our DI to a MAN Roland 300... thoughts?

I know, I know... but really it more than a few k. The move cost is $22k difference, but almost $70,000 difference in machine cost. Your almost at a $100,000; and I don't finance stuff really so thats a big chunk of change. I'd be replacing the GTO anyhow, and it would be easy to sell as there...

Thinking about moving up from our DI to a MAN Roland 300... thoughts?

Heh, I know Pete - that is my preference, but cost is the determining factor for us. It cost $30k to move and install a 300, it costs $5-8k to move the GTO (From what I've been told).

Thinking about moving up from our DI to a MAN Roland 300... thoughts?

Hey Craig, The DI isn't a bad press - but it definitley has some limitations in term of what you can produce compared to a press conventional. I'm no pres operator, but I can run it when I need to (we do have a full time operator). The QMDI pulls portrait vs landscape, making it harder for...

    1988 GTO VP52 - Good Quality output?

I'm looking at getting a GTO VP52 1988 with 70mm impressions. I currently have a QMDI and the ghosting and other inconsistancies on certain images is quite annoying, which is why we're looking to supplement it. Any idea as to what type of quality I can expect out of this machine?

How to fold and glue business folders?

Hey Guys, Forgive my ignorance- but I curious as to what type of machine can do automated folding and gluing on folders? I'd imaged you die-cut and score them, but is there and automated way to fold them and glue? If so - what would this machine be called? Thanks!

Thinking about moving up from our DI to a MAN Roland 300... thoughts?

The price on those units is way more than i'd like to spend. Also - I don't know how much I like the DIs anymore. I think I'd rather buy one large CTP unit, and then I can burn plates for any press with one unit.

Thinking about moving up from our DI to a MAN Roland 300... thoughts?

Good afternoon Guys, I have had a DI on our floor for a bit now, and I'm feeling the limitaions of the sheet size as well as quality issues with the machine. So I'm looking at moving to a conventional press. There are a few *very*afford about 1995-1999 year range MAN Rolands on the market. I'm...
