Dealing with screened 1 bit tiffs in ArtPro to Nexus

Theoretically it sounds a viable option. DotSpy generates an EPS link file that can be utilised on S&R. One must make sure, though, that the resolution of the 1-bit Tiffs is obeyed on your Nexus workflow. Otherwise the 1-bit files will be interpolated to the new resolution, causing Moiré that...

    Normalized PDF to ArtPro

I am under the impression that the fragmented images are caused by flattening when saving a job with transparencies to PDF 1.3 from some 3rd party applications. Using PDF 1.4 format should avoid the problem. (Please take this with a pinch of salt, though - I have not been able to verify this...

Can .ap files be edited or transformed into PDFs for non-EskoArtworks output

PS flattened PS flattened If editing is required, please be aware that PS->Distiller->PDF route will only give you a PDF 1.3 format file, where all transparencies are flattened and virtually impossible to edit. (Distiller settings cannot change the fact that output PostScript is always...

    Epson 10600 Print Head Problem

Caution recommended Caution recommended robotnz: What you really need, is a certified Epson service enginer on site. The Supersonic Cleaning you are executing is hugely stressful to the printhead. Epson recommends to leave the machine to cool off overnight before doing anything else... Doing...

    Anyone here use ArtPro?

Odd... I have some 15 years of experience training ArtPro operators. They have all said that given choise, they would never go back to Illustrator, as they can do the same things so much easier and "with less tinkering" on ArtPro. Of course, these things are often a matter of opinion... This...

    DCS images

Careful. Do we know that the resolution of the processed CopyDot files is 2400 DPI? If not, resampling them could ruin the screening, resulting in severe moiré. With lineart-only files, or if the resolution is honoured, this suggestion is 100% valid! :)

    DCS images

More information required. More information required. I don't know if (m)any application(s) can merge pre-separated DCS onto a composite PDF... :( We would need some more information of your original CopyDot files. Things like: - Were they generated on a Crosfield Celsis 6000 series drum...

    Nexus 9

Unsupported printers Unsupported printers For non-supported (e.g. Epson) printers EAW suggest going via FlexProof. Although pricey, it gives you vastly better control over calibration, profiling, editing profiles and custom colours, than what plain Nexus ever could. Believe me, I've seen it...

Epson 9800 shuts down during startup.

Contact your local Epson engineer. It appears that one of the sensors detecting positions of various gears is faulty, and it cannot reset to "home" location.
