scheduling a daily morning print to wake up my printer (Ricoh C5310)?

hi all, I have two Ricoh C5310's in a kinda hybrid self-serve repro room in an office. They take about 120 seconds to warm up from deep sleep, which is not a long time for a production run but annoying for people wanting a quick print. I was thinking of scheduling a one page document to print...

Justifying Equipment Purchase... Recession... Financing Options - HELP!

so the 1070 has high click charges but works reliably and you depend on it when the others frequently break down. you want to replace that and keep the machines which keep breaking down? doesn't it make more sense to replace the unreliable equipment, and then once you're all sorted and settled...

Screens for Fiery or just Remote Desktop?

Hi Deckm00 - do you have any idea how to escalate issues re. totalflow prep? i've put lots of comments and feature requests in on the official feature request page but have heard nothing back. in my last message i pointed out that EFI are working on A5 tab support which will remove one of the...

    Batch scanning legal documents?

Yeah it's the original master copies. Main body of tabs is blank. All done now. It was going ok until we got to the folded documents! If I was going to do it again I think I'd make a colored divider sheet for each tab with the tab text on it and place before each tab.

    Batch scanning legal documents?

Thanks - in the end have resorted to putting a bright coloured sheet in between as divider and then using those as separators to bookmark the pdfs Scanning the tabs has been very patchy - probably only 30% of the tab ears are scanning properly

    Batch scanning legal documents?

Hi all, I've been given loads of ring binders full of A4, tab divded documents. The documents are all different lengths. The tab ears contain the filename for each document. We need to scan these in, and I'm wondering if anyone has any bright ideas on speeding this up? First thoughts are...

    keeping a machine awake/online (Ricoh C5310)

thanks! I can't see the second setting there - will ask a tech about it next time they come - do you know what the service setting is to enable it?

Renaming a PDF page label with information on the page... Then extracting the page with that label for the name

Don't know what folio name refers to but I'm assuming it's just text on the page? I've used Evermap Auto bookmark before. Assume you're in legal market? It can create bookmarks from text on pages. And then you can export the bookmarked pages - I think you can easily do that with the bookmark...

Acrobat minimising to tray on RTS

On our RTS (2012 R2) server we're still running Acrobat XI. We use Equitrac with a billing prompt, but the pop-up makes acrobat minimise or fall behind other open applications. Equitrac can't replicate the issue, and Acrobat XI is EoL. But apparently this is a common problem with acrobat on...

    keeping a machine awake/online (Ricoh C5310)

good idea - i'll ask a tech next time they're in. if anyone on here would have a copy of a service manual that i could see i'd be all ears to see if it's technically possible or not.

    keeping a machine awake/online (Ricoh C5310)

it should be just 120 seconds from low power mode but occasionally seems to take a lot longer than that. that said - standing for two minutes waiting for a walk-up print in a high pressure legal office environment (not a print shop) is like watching paint dry. Electricity is not a concern...

    keeping a machine awake/online (Ricoh C5310)

We have some Ricoh C5310's used in a mixed self-service office repro type room. We've already set them up to stay awake for as long as possible, because when they go to sleep there's quite a long wait for the printer to warm up and begin printing. This is not a problem for high volume repro...

    fonts printing incorrectly from Chrome

Thanks Greg, I appreciate you taking the effort to try on numerous machines; having someone else replicate this problem elsewhere is incredibly useful as it proves it's not just our system!

    fonts printing incorrectly from Chrome

Hi Rich, this doesn't work unfortunately. This was first reported to us as an issue affecting the Adobe PDF Printer driver, but then we saw from Chrome's print preview that the same issue was happening when printing to any type of printer. It doesn't happen in IE so it seems to be Chrome related.

    fonts printing incorrectly from Chrome

Hi Greg, here it is: https://globalarbitrationreview.com/win-cameroon-and-other-news-icsid It's behind a paywall but if you click 'print article' you'll see the header and body text which is enough to see the problem.

    fonts printing incorrectly from Chrome

Hi folks, apologies if this is the wrong subforum.. I'm trying to print an article from a website in Chrome, and I'm having real issues where the font is printing incorrectly. It is legible (i.e. not garbage), but the title is not printing in bold as it should. And the body text is coming out...
