    Refurbished Digital Press Recommendations?

I posted a few weeks ago that I was looking for a press to use specifically for sheets of stickers. We already have a Konica C3070 as our main press, but our sticker printing is increasing so we want a dedicated press for this. We had (or so we thought), sealed a deal on a Xerox C60 with an...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

We have the Konica C3070 which has an anti static module fitted. Problem is it's pants and doesn't work properly haha. I do follow Dan and look forward to his new video every weekend. We have an issue ocassionally where our press starts running before the fuser is at the correct temp...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

Thanks. We couldn’t quite stretch to the Pro 33 so ended up with an older model. We only have one customer job where we need to crease but we are starting to do greeting cards which will need creasing so that drove the purchase. As we get busier with the greeting cards, we may upgrade, but for...

Small Quick Print Business Looking for MIS/MGMT Software

Firstly, I apologies, I didn’t mean to cause any offence. I’m sure the functionality of Morning Flight is great (it must be as you have many users). I wasn’t saying that PressGenie was the reigning beauty queen (I actually don’t use pressgenie either) but the biggest thing I struggled with when...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

Just to update the thread, I ended up opting for a Morgana Autocreaser for creasing 350gsm card stock. It was delivered today so not had chance to try it yet. Still looking at the Docufold Pro for folding but happy that I got the dedicated creaser.

    KM4070 vs Xerox V280

To be honest, service would be my number one criteria so if you have had poor service from Xerox, go with the Konica (unless you can get the Xerox from a different dealer)

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

I’m not quite sure where I’ve given the impression that I am looking to buy a machine for a one off job. As I said in my last reply, sticker sheets is becoming a fair chunk of our regular business. We couldn’t justify outsourcing as that defeats the point of building a business printing stickers...

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

100%. If buying another machine wasn’t possible, I’d simply stick to printing everything on our current C3070 :)

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

I’m in Lancashire but not overly concerned where the machine comes from (we’ve actually ended up going for a machine from a London based company that has engineers all over the UK). With regards to Konicas being more than Xerox, even when buying new, I found that in particular the finishing...

    Switching from a Xerox 550 to a C60 or Versant 80?

We went with a Konica C3070 in the end which is in the same ‘class’ as the V180. We do similar to you where we print posters, etc, on 350gsm silk coated. We get about 40 posters a minute (all the same). I don’t know what your workflow is like but if it’s just printing you’re referring to, I...

    Switching from a Xerox 550 to a C60 or Versant 80?

I agree to anyone looking at buying a used Xerox 550/560 DONT!!! We started out with a 560, had such high expectations, and it was such a disappointment. We too had issues with it not aligning from one page to another, made printing so difficult. We were constantly told by the Xerox engineers...

    Xerox C60 vs J75 vs V80

I’ll post some pictures when I get up and running with it :)

    Xerox C60 vs J75 vs V80

The printer hasn’t been delivered/installed yet so I can’t answer that. From what I’ve seen of the adaptive colour though, the gold and silver are more of a glittery sort of effect so they wouldn’t be a replacement for hot foiling for example. I will be testing out the registration alongside...

    Xerox C60 vs J75 vs V80

We’ve actually had samples from the Xerox C60 on the biodegradable sticker paper we use (which has a slight texture) and it prints perfect. After asking for some prices on refurb Konica machines and basically being ignored, and various other conversations, in the end we did decide to go for...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

To answer your question, I initially set out to buy a folder for doing tri fold and half fold leaflets and such like. I like that the Docufold can also perforate but never set out to buy a perforator. The only creaser I have at present is a manual creaser where you move a handle to crease, and...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

Ah perhaps I got to docufold and digifold mixed up. It's definitely the docufold that we are looking at though which Morgana says will fold up to 246gsm without cracking. So brings me back to the question of whether anyone has used it with 350gsm card or am I better looking for a digicrease or...

Creasing 350gsm on a Morgana Docufold Pro?

Currently looking at buying a Morgana Docufold Pro which I believe has a creasing module with a bypass tray for heavier stocks. I was curious as to whether the creasing module would be able to crease (or crease and fold) 350gsm silk card stock. The official spec says maximum paper weight of...

Small Quick Print Business Looking for MIS/MGMT Software

True. I actually prefer the look of PressGenie for small shops. If only the user interface of Morning Flight could be brought into a modern iteration, it could be a really compelling choice for print shops. I personally feel that the industry is crying out for a high quality non-subscription...
