    The Solution

clever and smart ;-) Indeed, i would say more than the half of all printed proofs are counterproductive, because most of the people they created their grafic-layouts, just want to see a simulation how it will look in print. But if a pink would have been prooved a little bit less shiny or a...

    Some Jobs

yes, that happens, but once the so and so many self-portrayal of a company or advertising magazin are stitched and then "consumed", it is no longer so noticeable. (Or if it is noticed: Working in an advertising agency, you should ask if you missed the repeating method during your apprenticeship...

    Do you still have healthcare?

Dear Slammer, your astonishment seems far too optimistic to share for me... Also regarding the assumption that this pandemic will come to an (early) end. The whole world is waiting for a vaccine and various experts do not seriously expect it three quarters of a year, but no one can know whether...

    Self Quarantine

That is exactly how it works (often) in Germany at this time: The Doctor won´t let you in his rooms and signs that you are not able to work , diagnosing you via telephone, so the Health System is paying you money. But, if you have a look to the Johns Hopkins site you will see, that Germany has...

    Total Area Coverage (TAC) Issue

Gordo, you had been talking about experience in this thread, would you really recommend this as a method of printing standard colors with increased density in order to achieve a higher gamut than normal? For my part, I would then always work with other methods (Anniva colors, FM ...), because...

    Total Area Coverage (TAC) Issue

I am sorry Gordo, maybe i misunderstood your invention, what i mean regarding problems with printing standard inks with higher density as "usually" is following: If you start to determine a printing condition (offset) the best way is to find the optimum density for each color CMYK. No matter...

    Total Area Coverage (TAC) Issue

Wow, surprise, surprise, i did not expect that: Also the ISOcoatedv2 (TAC330) and the ISOcoatedv2_300 (TAC300) are coming with exactly the same Gamut compared together: 402.279 The two VIGC´s (TAC 300 and TAC 260) with a slightly bigger one: 402.689 But all four are based on the same...

    Total Area Coverage (TAC) Issue

Yeah, of course you can do that, if the layout is designed only with solids, but that is not worth a suggestion in most of all cases, because you will loose possible detailed drawing above 90% screened... Thanks Gordo, i did not grab deep enough in my mind to think about that, because I was...

    Total Area Coverage (TAC) Issue

Hi If we are talking about 4 colors CMYK just in a theoretically sight your argument „higher TAC means higher gamut“ is not wrong. But it is not really true either, if you are talking about „color“...: At once two things i remind you to think about: It is possible to increase the gamut of...

Decompiling an ICC profile to see the lookups?

Thanks @cementary got it now: as well as in the old profile inspector on windows as in the colorsync-tool on a mac the signature "targ" shows the LUT´s, but not every icc-profile has such a signature (e.g. some Munken-profiles...)

Decompiling an ICC profile to see the lookups?

it might be possible (depends on the creator of the profile, is there a look up table or not inside...) with chromix color think, a much more less expensive tool as the big ones like print open or others. (Nearby a recommended and good investment in future if you want to know something about...
