Indeed, i would say more than the half of all printed proofs are counterproductive, because most of the people they created their grafic-layouts, just want to see a simulation how it will look in print. But if a pink would have been prooved a little bit less shiny or a green or a blue felt a little bit less darker or lighter or with a little bit more or less red in there, they would accepted it also. But now, there is a claim in the world to punish the printer for all his lies in his former lives...
