Is Pitstop causing Acrobat X to crash all the time?

Part of a suite and doesn't work like the rest of the CS suite? Oh my! Primary target are the Knowledge Worker, what? It's from the same Adobe "family" that you want to work like a MS product? Really? As long as i've been in prepress, commercial printing, not "quickie" printers that will work...

Is Pitstop causing Acrobat X to crash all the time?

IMHO, I've found over time that all versions (From Acrobat 4 and early version's of Pitstop caused some strange incidents. To be fair most of the times it was older versions of the combo but sicking with newer versions of both products is much more stable. But let's not be all that nice as you...

Thanks DCurry, As I posted in another reply I found out all I had to do was create a profile and add the 4 actions that performed the separate tasks. Thanks again.

Pitstop 9 Acrobat 9 - Moving Text on top and bottom too close to edge.

Thanks Caio, I found out all I had to do was create a profile from the "PDF Profile Panel" and added the 4 actions that performed the separate tasks. It ran like a charm. Thank you for your support.

Pitstop 9 Acrobat 9 - Moving Text on top and bottom too close to edge.

Yes Caio but i had to set up a couple actions to achieve both up and down movements. I guess i could set up an action to do both but I am unsure how to get it to do both at the same time. Thank you for your response.

Pitstop 9 Acrobat 9 - Moving Text on top and bottom too close to edge.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to create an action just to move text that is about an 1/8" from the top and bottom (and sides) of pages to 1/4" from the sides and top & bottom? I am only able to move the text all one way or the other. Meaning all text to the left an 1'8" and either...

Pitstop 10 add a specific page page. Can Pitstop 8 ?

Hello everyone, I was using Acrobat v.9 & Pitstop 10 at my previous job. I am now newly employed but using Acrobat 8.3.1 & Pitstop v.8 Update 6 on a Mac OSX 10.5.8. My dilemma is I used an action that allowed me to insert a user specific 2-page pdf (from my desktop) to my working pdf. Now that...

A Fascinating Look Behind the Scenes of a Newspaper in 1970

Very cool, thanks for sharing. I heard about most of this from the "old timers". I didn't get into printing until the early 80's. (I guess I'm an "old timer now").

Reverse order printing from OS X

Yes it does indeed work. Excellent and very quick. I'm impressed. As I said earlier in case you also needed it for an older machine, it works for a PPC G5 OSX 10.5.8 and CS4 Acrobat Pro and InDesign. Thanks again, CruzinCooler

Reverse order printing from OS X

Thanks Colorblind I finally got it to work. Although I had Acrobat Pro activated for what ever reason it kept launching Acrobat Reader. I believe the script kept looking for Pro but some how kept seeing Reader. Just curious but I see that new line of "code" in the original script, any idea why...

Reverse order printing from OS X

Hi Colorblind, As a goof I wanted to run your script with CS4 Acrobat 9 Pro 9.4.4 and CS4 ID4 6.0.6 and got the following Applescript Error: The variable b is not defined. I'm still using 10.5.8 PPC if that makes a difference. y the way did I mention I don't know Applescript but wanted to give...

    What happens after 5S

Get out... now! Get out... now! My worthless opinion is it's a huge waste of time and money. If your company is hurting the last place to put money is in a concept that just flat out annoys every worker because of bad owner/managerial decisions. What a waste of resources. Going through it...

    RGB or CMYK in print?

Keep it simple. Keep it simple. Most print shops will require a CMYK tif or eps file for commercial/publication print work without an ICC profile. Also they will need to produce a proof of that file for any future color corrections. Their proof should reflect the press it will be printing on...
