Don't think it is a cable problem. Communication is happening and the cable does not ever move. I have been watching the vacuum switch and the blower for a couple of days and it seems I have a sketchy relay and or vacuum switch. Ordered both and will know more next week.

Well, the error continues. Found and replaced the filter. Although, I don't think it really needed it. Looked pretty clean to me. Like all intermittent errors this is being a bear to track down. I don't suppose anyone out there has a breakdown of this blower unit?

Could be the filter, and I will check that as soon as I can figure out how to get to it. That being said, I still think the sensor needed to be reset. With the blower off the sensor was showing 1.2 instead of zero. The issue seems to be mostly fixed at this time. We did get the error at start up...

For those of you interested, there is no need to take the top of the blower off. You can not get to anything to clean. I looks to be a closed system anyway. I did rotate the cable. No joy, still go the error. I did recalibrate the air sensor and for the last hour or so we have been plating...

Thanks for the info. I will give this a try, but our blower does not get moved at all, so I have little hope. I think I will try and take the top off and clean the blower.

I have been asked for the life expectancy of a print coming from a Xerox C1000. Any one have a clue, or somewhere I can get some info. I realize this is a bit of a loaded question, as the storage and exposure to light is a big variable, but I some kind of an idea. Thanks

Don't know anything about AE but here is a quick applescript that will convert one or more txt files to pdf. Just drop them on the script.

Take a look at pad printing in the finishing tab of job properties. I hope that will work. I don't currently have a Fiery, but have been reading up on them as I will be getting two of them shortly.

Stephen, I would have to agree with you 100%. I have just started playing with this script in the last couple of days, and I can see the potential of this script. Now I only wished I knew Illustrator better. I also wish there was something like this for charts. Paul

I am woking on making one for myself, but the default Generate Bleed to 3mm if some, none, or not enough does not seem to be working either.

We moved from Trueflow to XMF about a year ago or so. So far we love it. Don't have any experience with Prinergy. As for trapping. I have not ever had to edit a trap and yes, XMF does have the ability to edit trap zones. Not sure why every post I see about XMF says it does not have this...
