    the feed rollers pinch the sheet to push it into the infeed cylinder grippers they release about 3 to 5 inches down the sheet depending on how tight the buckle is set. if ink is transferring to the top roller and offsetting back onto the sheet it would transfer to the blanket also from the sheet...

    look at your feeder roller i bet you are picking up ink there and "reprinting" down the sheet until it lifts. try backing off the presure.

    No Title check your springs in the clamp to see if they are broken. take out and flip the silver rings over or google for new clamps and replace

    most ink ductors are pushed by a cam and pulled by a spring with a servo to lock out the ductor. check that the servo is adjusted and or working properly. you can usually pull a cover and see it work

    Anyone still use film?

    The folks at metal magic foil and embossing dies still use film in there acid etching systems. every die they ever made has a number on it. they can pull the original film and remake an exact die from the first day they were open.

    we do that here also. this is something different. maybe silk screened like kees says. an ink guy told me its cheep ink that just comes off the sheet.
