Linerize or not to Linerize plates... that is the question

This topic keeps popping up and always sparks such amusement. I'm in the camp of you do not need to linearize the plates; just create one curve.

    The Fiery Professional Certification

For $250 you get a contact and a business card of someone who knows fiery inside and out. To get that same knowledge would require talking to 3 people and a bunch of escalations. Beyond just the training I think that is worth it.

    Depersonalization of Xerox Equipment Sales

Service, supplies, support should still be coming from Xerox for production equipment sold through a dealer. I think what Xerox found in smaller markets is that it is better to find a local guy to sell the printer with roots in the community. That person can go to all the chamber events and...

"Minimum Positive Keyline Halfway Grip" ?

I might be mixing up terms but on the keyline question are they wondering how close to the trimbox can a line or border be where you can guarantee a even margin between the line and the edge of the sheet? And maybe for tone work they are saying anything not produced as solids? tonework =...

    New Shop - Need Help

I think a new 7900 would cost close to $750,000. Not sure what your business plan looks like but that is a large initial investment.

This sounds like a perfect job for a Roden-Dotseth press; they are out of Germany and have a whole line including die-cutters for pharmaceutical work.

    Estimating offset printing cost

You are referencing co-share routes, and we are reaching the limitations of where this analogy would work. Net profit after all expenses is what I'm interested in, part of that 40k needs to go to building, admin, marketing, utilities, insurance, and any other non-revenue generating departments...
