lets not forget, in order to actually get times like that in a production environment on a regular day to day basis, you need an operator (and helper i guess) that is really in sync with the machine and know what to do.

we use tap water in our presses. we've never had issues. are your operators using the same chemestry settings (percentages or oz/gal) as with the ro water? if so, i suggest they play with percentages of chemicals they are using.

well, this issue seems to have completly solved itself. no image on the impression cylinder at all after 25,000+ sheets and multiple make-readies

i did a breif check today and it throws on and off cleanly. doesnt seem to be a delay though i know there is one. great, service call time

i think it's similar to the heidelberg like you mention, with solenoids actuating the pnumatics. i've got a button for manually throwing on and off the impression at each unit, but nothing on the solenoids themselves. i'll have to dig into it today when i get to work. i wish we had an in house...

ah i see what you mean. our transfers and impressions are a textured composition and not smooth/chromed. i've always assumed it was because of the perfector, you guys are definitly right. i'll have to look into this today before they go ahead and waste $7000+ on the mag-in :p 67 drake, thats...

ours will be going on the 5th unit before the coater, but we have a perfector after unit 2. i dont understand how they would interfere with one another.
