have you tested for some problems in RIP? It seems an interpretation problem or chem problem, perhaps develop too aggressive... but you said that cleaned out the processor and changed the chemicals (are these chemicals right for the new film?)

    Problem with plate Agfa LAP-V

HI, had the same problem with Lpa-V and a developer LP 82 some months ago. First of all, clean the developer accurately and change all the chem in it, be sure they're all brand new. Then put an half bottle of Finisher concentrate in very bin of finisher, it helps it to be more stable and...

    Alternative to Colorgate Productionserver 7

Hi you can consider different solutions: _ give a spin to Absolute Proof, a sw like Colorgate that works fine. Mac base, easy and reliable. It can produce colormanaged pdf, tiff or drive an inkjet printer. _ use PitStop to convert files, it can also preflight pdf files _ I think also that...

    RIP Recommendations

Take a look at: Apogee Prepress Fuji XMF Xitron Sierra Xenith Founder Electronics Elecronc Those aren't RIP, are full workflow software, they all have what you are looking for, are easy to use and reliability. They are also modular, just to fit you needs. I think also at Prinergy, but I haven't...

Hi all, after several years I got a little problem with those plates: My print team found these plates unprintable due some halos on the plate when printing, using a cleaner cream it help to save the plate and go on printing but is a waste of time, there's also the fact that plates seem to be...

Anyone know the difference between Apogee Prepress and Apogee Manage?

Hi, got an APOX Prepress Control, great product, stable reliable; it works perfectly with only a render engine (1000/1500 plates per month). Only two issues in my opinion: expensive and I don't like to deal with tech service (in Italy). For the rest I confirm that's a great software.

    Azura Vi

Thanks Vlad, I know that I have to change processor, what interested me was the press quality achieved with that kind of plates. With LAP_V I have an incredible quality, using :Sublima screening at high lpi; with Azura Vi is the same? The specs say so, but the fact could be different.

    Azura Vi

Mainly: quality of dot, lpi, behaviour in press machine. Reading form the datasheet they seem equal, but reading your "Quality is good, not fabulous"... sounds strange.

    Azura Vi

Thanx a lot for your answer, Justa another question: can you make a comparision with Lithostar LAP_V (the plates we're currently using)?

    How much apply Creep?

Hi, 2 methods: A - mesure 32 sheets of same paper you're going to print B - math, (numer of pages/4)*paper thickness. e.g. (64/4)*0,01 where 0,01 is the thicknes of a 100 gsm coated paper For the Inner, outter or both creep, you have to analyze the job and make a decision, if the central page is...

    Prinergy EVO - Preps problem

Hi, I've seen something similar, I think it's due to transparencies in the pdf file. What kind of pdf-x do you use? Try to flat them (pdfx-1a or Acrobat 4 compatible) and all should work again without problems. Let us know! G.

Entry Level Workflow. Similar to Odystar?

Hi, you could give a look at Elecroc... I've tested it few days ago, it works good and it doesn't cost too much compared to Prinergy or Apogee Founder Electronics

Agfa LP82 processor - wash temp low

Hi, some ideas (I've an LP82 too) Option 1: cold temperature room...especially in during the winter, in the wash there's a mix of water and finisher, perhaps the water is too cold Option 2: the heater is broken... the heater is a 2 module, 1 fast heating e 1 low heating for temperature...
