downsize from Xerox dc5000c to 2 Xerox 700?

Having owned 2 DC5000s 1 X700 and currently have an X1000. I would suggest sticking with the DC5000 for the stability. The X700 (a single unit should easily be able to handle 25K as I did 180,000 12x18 in one month on ours) is probably a lot cheaper monthly but be aware of it's limitations...

    High Speed Digital Envelope Printing

I had the predecessor to the Mach whatever from RENA... Biggest piece of crap I had! (Actually it's quite small, but the crap to size ratio was huge!) I would never do that again.

    Xerox 1000 Install...

Well, a bit of an update. We are at about 175,000 clicks (most 12x18) and have more issues. Software still sucks and is unstable, patch coming tomorrow that *should* improve the communication stability between the FFPS, IOT, and PCUI. As for the hardware... We are on our third IBT belt and...

    Xerox 1000 Install...

I didn't think of trying Xerox Paper... I'm sure that will solve the FreeFlow not booting properly AND the PCUI showing 0 of 0!

    Xerox 1000 Install...

On the subject of onsite support. We have averaged 4 Xerox employees per day onsite during business hours for the last 3 weeks. They also have been given a key and can come in early/on weekends as well... So yes, nobody is making money on this install.

    Xerox 1000 Install...

Tomorrow is the end of week 3 of our 3 day install of our New Xerox 1000. Don't know if anyone is interested of the progress, so here is an update... FreeFlow issues outstanding: • Cannot boot Free Flow Print Server while connected to network (there is an issue with the FreeFlow Remote Print...

Opinions on off-line booklet makers for digital

Have that config right now... Looking to go to the DBM350/T as an upgrade. Pretty good, just plan on crimping the finished books in a cutter clamp after booklet making. Parts from Duplo are very $$$ and service is "decent" (I went through 3 Power Supplies in the Trimmer before we figured out...

    X800/X1000 Color shifting?

Update... Update... The X1000 is still in it's "install" phase (week 1.5 of the 3 day install). So far I have gotten some jobs through it and have been impressed with the quality overall of the print. The registration is holding fairly tight; however, I am noticing about ~0.4mm skew on side...

    X800/X1000 Color shifting?

We are still working the bugs out of our X1000 install and yesterday I had a process gray shift towards Magenta in appearance. Way more than I'm comfortable with and likely beyond the Delta E of 3 that I'm told the machine should hold. This reminds me of the X700 that we had. Anyone else...

    After Hour Service Charges

All I can say is the per call rate for the Docucolor 5000 is $669.00

    Xerox woes!

See if they will allow you to go down to the docucolor 5000ap. I have two and they have no inboard/outboard color variation that I can see. The x700 is a piece of crap (mine got sale reverse last week and picked up today!) I am installing a 1000 next week to replace the X700 and will keep you...

Xerox 700 color shifting durring the run.

I have a X700 (and I can say that for only several more hours!). Don't have any issue with the registration (I don't run Cover -- I do that on the DC5000's) but have had horrid color shifts. We can usually see the magenta appear to increase (it is actually the yellow decreasing from what we...

    Xerox DocuSP Freeflow Server problem

Sounds like time for a software reload. We have two DC5K's with FreeFlows and I've never seen that.

    Xerox 800/1000

Does anyone currently have one of these and is putting a larger volume on it? (more than 200k/month) We have two dc5000ap's that pretty much run till they break and are putting about 180,000 12x18 sides/month on each machine. Xerox wants to put us into a Xerox 1000 to replace the two (so...

    Xerox 8002 vs Ricoh C900s

We looked at the Ricoh c900. Whatever you do, make sure your bindery equipment can feed the paper as it comes out of the machine with an odd, almost sand-papery, finish. Unless you're doing a ton of volume, I'd look at the DC5000AP as they offer good color, reliability and are comparatively...

    Xerox Colour 1000

May I enquire as to the cost you had for the 8000AP?

    Xerox Colour 1000

I thought so too... but I just got off the phone with the rep and they are holding fast... So no 800/1000 for us :(

    Xerox Colour 1000

My rep quoted flood clear as costing up to 4 cents on top of the normal click charge. At that cost, it's far cheaper to UV the sheet, plus UV is a better coating... (yes I realize it's not spot uv...) What is the color click charge you are being quoted? We currently print 2-400,000 12x18...

    Riso Inkjet

I've seen the output of the com color series and can think of 0 of my current customers that would accept it. I had some riso products in the past and the service wasn't great, but it was the old style duplicators and not the inkjet stuff... Don't know what they want for machine but you can...
