Having owned 2 DC5000s 1 X700 and currently have an X1000. I would suggest sticking with the DC5000 for the stability. The X700 (a single unit should easily be able to handle 25K as I did 180,000 12x18 in one month on ours) is probably a lot cheaper monthly but be aware of it's limitations...

I had the predecessor to the Mach whatever from RENA... Biggest piece of crap I had! (Actually it's quite small, but the crap to size ratio was huge!) I would never do that again.

Well, a bit of an update. We are at about 175,000 clicks (most 12x18) and have more issues. Software still sucks and is unstable, patch coming tomorrow that *should* improve the communication stability between the FFPS, IOT, and PCUI. As for the hardware... We are on our third IBT belt and...

I didn't think of trying Xerox Paper... I'm sure that will solve the FreeFlow not booting properly AND the PCUI showing 0 of 0!

On the subject of onsite support. We have averaged 4 Xerox employees per day onsite during business hours for the last 3 weeks. They also have been given a key and can come in early/on weekends as well... So yes, nobody is making money on this install.

We looked at the Ricoh c900. Whatever you do, make sure your bindery equipment can feed the paper as it comes out of the machine with an odd, almost sand-papery, finish. Unless you're doing a ton of volume, I'd look at the DC5000AP as they offer good color, reliability and are comparatively...
