6500 needs lots of constant maintenance so be sure to have a provider who will not keep you waiting around. Sounds like for what you're going to run the quality should work out good. Large solids are a problem on that machine, lots of streaks unless just after maint. was preformed.

Got the ppd from a IC-304 (KM C6501P) creo front end, from our printer service company, and that fixed printing directly.

Installed 10.8.5 (to use Quarkxpress 10) but now the printers to creo rip IC-304 won't work. I deleted and remade printers but still no good. I can make pdfs and drop them over the network but i'd rather just print files. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks

That appears to have done it. Must have been a bed sector that the lotem software was sitting on.

I ran the check disk at startup so it would remap around bad sectors. That worked, but I have left it on so won't know if it's a permanent fix until i shut it down and restart.

Lotem software won't load. It keeps giving message: The application failed to initalize properly (0xc0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application. In the past i would just shut it down and reboot wait a few mins and it would launch. But Lotem application won't start after 4 restarts of...

We have a Konica Minolta 6500 and we had to get a new service company before we got acceptable service. Don't be afraid to fire them and find one better. Just be sure to stress to the new company your service demands and get them to promise in writing they will be there.

Our plates keep getting stuck at unload. It will image some ok then stop with the plate sticking out the back. Does not appear to be any pattern as to when this happens. 2 of last 10 did this. I cleaned out the holes, wiped the drum etc, but still is happening. Anyone else with Lotem unload...
