    Versant 4100 color problems

Have you tried dropping PDFs into the Fiery? You should be eliminating as many variables as possible by using a PDF workflow and not using drivers imo.

    Ryobi DirectPress 5634 Installer

My 2 cents is that was a bad purchase when they came out, it's an awful purchase now. If you're still going to buy it, maybe Presstek will install and service it, but it'll likely cost more than what you paid for it. I know we spent almost 4 grand just taking ours to a junkyard last year.

Looking for a Paper Jam Removal Tool

We have one that came with the Xerox Iridesse. It's definitely a Xerox tool, I'll ask a tech next time we have a service call if he has info. I think these pliers are significantly more useful though. EDIT: Here is the Xerox part #: Xerox 655N00569 JAM CLEAR ASIST

    4over Issues

Based on what we've been getting back from them lately, I'm pretty sure the process is almost entirely automated. We've got cards back with white on them because they weren't even cut properly. I think they just figure at their volume it's more cost effective to let bad jobs go than it is to QC...

    Bulk Mail Strapping Machine

We're really fortunate to not have too many issues locally. Our scorecard is almost perfect, so they let us drop bulk mail without anyone present. It makes drop off so much easier when I don't have to ring the bell and wait 15 minutes for someone to finally answer the door.

2 - Ricohs That Will Not Hold Back UP

That's how my Canon works too. I usually have to do a 1-2mm shift, but it holds fine once I do my initial adjustment.

    Bulk Mail Strapping Machine

Do you know if there's a bulletin about that? We've been using rubber bands without any issue, but I don't want to get dinged on our mailer scorecard if that's the case. EDIT: I found it. Looks like it only applies to flats, and 99% of our mail is letter. Still good to know!

    Something wrong with rubber bands?

    The GEC Standard

When everything comes out of Canva and exported in RGB I just assume there are no standards.

Can anyone convert this file for me... I think it's a quark file but not sure.

What was the original file extension? You should be able to look it up here.

Merging cover sheets with main document on fiery?

Print the covers, then print the books and use the covers as inserts (Media tab > define cover).

Corner of paper folding on Versant 280

If you're able to, try running your NCR short edge. We have Primelink's which use almost all the same peripherals as the Versant, and it basically totally eliminated jams on NCR.

    Ricoh 9210 - Shrinkage

FYI every toner machine has shrinkage/stretch. There should be an adjustment for the stock settings to compensate for it. Ask your salesperson or specialist if you weren't trained on it.

Canon imagePress v900 photo quality test results

Imagepress machines do photos OK, but they aren't really photo printers. I don't know much about that Konica box, but I wouldn't really produce photo books on any toner box. You should probably be looking at a fine art printer for that market.

    Quite Imposing: De-Imposing a booklet?

I must be missing something? You don't need total page count for that feature, just the generic rule that repeats. EDIT: Nevermind, I understand why the page count matters now. Too early for me :ROFLMAO:

Best perfect binder on a budget up to 500 books per hour?

Have you looked at anything from Morgana? They're based in the UK, you might have better luck sourcing one out there.

    Quite Imposing: De-Imposing a booklet?

Have you used the "shuffle pages for imposing" feature? You should be able to use the numbers you already provided (2 3 6 7 8 5 4 1), then select "double sided cut stacks", page count should be 8.

    Printing ultra thin lines

Most color printers have an auto registration function if this happens. Thin 4 color lines are generally a little problematic on any printer, but you should be able to get it better dialed in. I'm not sure if this is for your specific model, but I found this...

Ricoh Pro C7500 - How to get Better Looking Light Colors

Really light screens tend to look pretty bad on toner. Your drums, corona wires or developer can all show imperfections on really light colors that are otherwise invisible in regular prints. That said, you can adjust line screens in Fiery and they may give you better results, or at least...
