Opps, my bad. That would be "strokes", with an "s".

I would bet if you go here -> Esko Help Center, select AE, and type in convert strokes, you could find an answer.

Just curious. Does the 'page 2' need to be page 2 of a single document, or can it be just a copy of page 1 (then modified) and ready for imposing or stepping?

I think you'd be surprised by the features available in Esko's Automation Engine in regards to PDF page workflow. True that Esko is a leader in packaging prepress, but the commercial print side of their product line is just as dynamic. IMHO.

The major version changes are numbered by the year of release.

Just a quick mention if you do download the trial Esko PowerTrapper plugin for Illustrator. After you install you will find the online help and manuals by going to the Illustrator Help Menu/Esko/Esko Help. They will guide you through the tools, trap settings, etc..
