    Matchprint open connectivity client

OpenConnectivity is basically a “stand alone RIP”, the default “direct connectivity” relies on Prinergy to do most of the work (RIPing, colour management, file submission). If you are licensed for OpenConnectivity and it is running correctly, then you can copy files through the Finder (or...

    Recommend me quoting software

The Accura MIS fits these requirements – one solution, it is print method agnostic (litho, flexo, digital, screen, inkjet roll or flatbed etc) – self hosted or cloud, your choice. Of course “reasonable price” is a relative term. http://accuramis.com Stephen Marsh

    map and rename spot colors

Sure, here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gwcpw4un1n...200_C.zip?dl=0 The steps are “Select Color Range” and “Remap Color” (PitStop Pro 2017, however I believe that these commands have been around for a few versions). Stephen Marsh

    map and rename spot colors

Sure, something like this will map only a specific tint range and not the solid… (I only tested with vectors, not gradients or images). Stephen Marsh

    Slug / file information removal

Easy enough to create an EAL, however it would depend on the position and content. Do you have a sample PDF? Does this info vary from different software or clients? What version of PitStop Pro are you using? Stephen Marsh

One CMYK-profile to rule them all?

I obviously read the ECI press release differently then. Presuming that the RIP is configured this way, many RIPs are setup to ignore the OI and to assume a given input condition such as F39. I am not yet drinking the cool-aid. :] Stephen Marsh

One CMYK-profile to rule them all?

Although this is not about PDF-X standards, it is similar to saying that PDF/X-4 is dead, long live PDF/X-1 :] Stephen Marsh

Convert image to print USO Uncoated Yellowish simulation on coated stock

Thanks for confirming, I would convert the RGB original to the Uncoated Yellowish ICC and then convert to ISO Coated ICC using absolute colorimetric rendering intent. Stephen Marsh

Convert image to print USO Uncoated Yellowish simulation on coated stock

If I understand correctly, you will need to convert the CMYK image tagged with the Uncoated Yellowish ICC to ISO Coated ICC using absolute colorimetric rendering intent (if this is “too strongly yellow”, then you should knock together an action to combine the steps used to create the less yellow...

    Selection Resizing

What version are you on? Can you share the action list or a screenshot of the list or write out the exact steps? There should be a few ways to do this… Easy enough to do in PitStop Pro 17 with the scale selection action list option. Stephen Marsh

Tricks to remember LAB color space

L = Lightness, lower values are darker, higher values are lighter (just like in RGB) a = opposing hue system: red in the positive values (warm), green in the negative values (cool), zero is neutral – neither red or green (a hue can’t be both red and green at the same time). The higher the...

    7-Color ICC Profile Creation

i1Profiler can make profiles for up to 8 separations You will likely find that this breaks the End User License Agreement in 99.9% of commercial profiling packages without getting written clearance and or paying extra for a special use case license. Stephen Marsh

Kodak ProoferClient not resolving 'hot folders'

The hot folders should have a path using the \\controller name + \directory name, such as: \\KPS-Controller-Name\Hot Folder Name or in your case: \\CX10010\Hot Folder Name You could try to copy (not move original files which will be deleted) files to the hot folder using Windows Explorer or...

Kodak ProoferClient not resolving 'hot folders'

Forgetting the KPS Client software interface, can you submit copies of files to the hot folders using a standard UNC file path directly to the hot folder (i.e. submit the files through the O.S.)? Do you use a direct connection from Prinergy to KPS? Are you licensed for OpenConnectivity and if...
