Possible to cut down the Preflight report? I can edit the profile (example: turn off OPI) but the OPI page is still part of the report. I would like to eliminate the OPI, and other pages, completely.
(That's a fairly old version of Nexus. Pre-PDF rip)
Point One. You will not find installer disks. Nexus software installers are downloaded based on licensing online.
Point Two. If you call Esko support they should be able to give you the lay of the land as far as what you have. Here's support...
If you do most of your prepress in Adobe Illustrator then this plugin for Ai from Esko may do the trick. Among other things it has a view option that, based on your defined press performance (i.e. min. dot, gain, etc.) will help you visualize press results of your file. VIEWER FOR ADOBE®...
I, (go figure), concur. But I would suggest downloading the free trial and give it a test run first. Here's the link DeskPack Modules: Tools for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop - Esko. Go down the page to PowerTrapper and click on 'Trial'. Best of luck.
Not sure the solution suggested by "calo" is the correct Esko solution for your situation. You obviously are not looking for the "best fit", but to step to the die spec's given you in the PDF of the die.
Labels and Tags are two of the things Esko does extremely well. If that is a sizeable part...

Here's the link to the info, you may...
Why not let your current investment in your Nexus workflow work for you to get into the Automation Engine 10 solutions for Labels. That combined with DeskPack Plugins for Adobe Illustrator may be the opportunity you are looking for.
You may want to look at EskoArtwork's WebCenter. Here's a link ---> Welcome to WebCenter: Web-based project management and pre-production approval - EskoArtwork
With WebCenter you can setup secure https: for your sites, and you can have the servers and your files onsite. You control access...
Illustrator is not a PDF Editor, Adobe does not support it as such.
However EskoArtwork NEO is. Download a full working version to try here. --> Free Trial software - EskoArtwork
Sounds like you are doing the prepress and layout for your jobs, then you send those files to your plate making site.
In order to make plates something has to be rasterizing and screening the files you send. Since you are sending Normalized PDF and PDFPLA files (Esko format) my sense is you...
