Corner of paper folding on Versant 280

If you're able to, try running your NCR short edge. We have Primelink's which use almost all the same peripherals as the Versant, and it basically totally eliminated jams on NCR.

    Ricoh 9210 - Shrinkage

FYI every toner machine has shrinkage/stretch. There should be an adjustment for the stock settings to compensate for it. Ask your salesperson or specialist if you weren't trained on it.

Canon imagePress v900 photo quality test results

Imagepress machines do photos OK, but they aren't really photo printers. I don't know much about that Konica box, but I wouldn't really produce photo books on any toner box. You should probably be looking at a fine art printer for that market.

    Quite Imposing: De-Imposing a booklet?

I must be missing something? You don't need total page count for that feature, just the generic rule that repeats. EDIT: Nevermind, I understand why the page count matters now. Too early for me :ROFLMAO:

Best perfect binder on a budget up to 500 books per hour?

Have you looked at anything from Morgana? They're based in the UK, you might have better luck sourcing one out there.

    Quite Imposing: De-Imposing a booklet?

Have you used the "shuffle pages for imposing" feature? You should be able to use the numbers you already provided (2 3 6 7 8 5 4 1), then select "double sided cut stacks", page count should be 8.

    Printing ultra thin lines

Most color printers have an auto registration function if this happens. Thin 4 color lines are generally a little problematic on any printer, but you should be able to get it better dialed in. I'm not sure if this is for your specific model, but I found this...

    Morgana Digifold Purchase

The Morgana scores the sheets before folding though.

Ricoh Pro C7500 - How to get Better Looking Light Colors

Really light screens tend to look pretty bad on toner. Your drums, corona wires or developer can all show imperfections on really light colors that are otherwise invisible in regular prints. That said, you can adjust line screens in Fiery and they may give you better results, or at least...

    B/W printer recommendations plz

I found it to be pretty true. It's a perfecting press so you don't need to flip the sheet to duplex. We used to have one, but Canon EOL our model, and our volume is too low to justify another one. Now we have 2 small Xerox Primelink B9136 printers.

    B/W printer recommendations plz

The Nuvera has been discontinued by Xerox. The Oce Varioprint Titan's have a .3mm tolerance, but I don't think you have the volume to justify the purchase. We have Xerox Primelink's in our shop now and the registration seems pretty decent. I don't think 1/64" is realistic on 99% of toner boxes...

    Ricoh Pro C7210sx Staples

Their website has photos. I'm not used to 3 types of staples on a printer, but generally the corner staples on most machines are a rectangular flat sheet of staples, and the booklet staples are in a round case.

Paper GSM suddenly affecting machine operation

It's likely slowing down the print speed when you up the gsm. I know it's not the same machine, but we have two Primelinks that are also god awful with 20# and NCR. I've found either lying to the machine on weight, or running light weight text short edge fixes the jamming.

    Techs/operators of Pitney Bowes inserters

We have an older 6 pocket Bell+Howell inserter and an accumulator. I'm not familiar with the PB/Flowmaster models, but I assume they're pretty similar. They're much more mechanical than electrical, so you have to do things like lubricate the chain and tighten up loose parts from vibrations...

    Techs/operators of Pitney Bowes inserters

Are you looking at a big floor inserter, or a table top model?

    Another 'low-volume printer search' thread?!?

Wouldn't it be easier to just broker your print jobs out at that volume?

    Ricoh 7210 5th Color

I think it needs to be called out as "NeonP". I have a bunch of samples and that's what the brochure is referencing.

Xerox Versant 180 compatible card thickness microns vs GSM

All you can really do is just test it. I find the paper grain matters more than the actual weight. Sometimes I have to cut a 12x18 down to 9x12 or 8.5x11 and run it short edge because it's making so many tight turns in the printer.

Graphic Wizard PT 33SC or 331SCC

This was a couple years back, so grain of salt, but a sales guy told me he tries not to sell the Graphic whizards because they're Chinese, so parts often don't arrive in a timely manner.

    Windows 11

My Printware Ijetcolor envelope printer auto updated. They actually told us it wouldn't work, but so far it's worked for a few months now without any issues. It's pretty frustrating that an OS that launched in 2021 still has vendors telling us not to update.
