    DC5000AP question

We do all this all the time on our 5000, albeit with a Fiery RIP. It is dead simple on the Fiery so it must be easy on the Creo too? Sorry I can't be of any more help..

    X8002 or C7000VP

Go back through recent threads, LOADS of info on the Canon. Not sure if there are any customer installations of the 8002 yet? I have seen print samples from the 8002 and they are VERY impressive!

    What causes this...

Okay, but AT SOME STAGE it was scanned and converted to PDF. PitStop will be of NO use for this!

    Can Pitstop Server do this?

Hi. This is not a simple one so please bear with me! We (digitally) print manuals for a client, that have to follow a particular format. They are a mixture of A4 & A3 pages. Sounds simple, BUT the files are not supplied in the correct format for printing. Basically the "rules" are this: 1...

    Paper Brands

Mondi ColorCopy is the same sheet, from the same mill. But it is still around the same price anyway! Character Express (for uncoated) and Core Silk/Gloss are just as good in my opinion, and the Xerox Tech's don't have a problem with them which helps matters!!

    Prepress Checklist

... a pre-press "check sheet" that they pass on to client's? ie: something they fill in when they send you a disc, with info like: Bleed, fonts, application, scans, proofs etc etc? If you had something you could email me I would appreciate it. Regards. Lee.

    Digital or Litho?

If it's not obviously Digital then yep, that's a fail safe method.

    KM6501/OCE CS665 vs. Canon 6000/7000.

I agree with the post above. The new Xerox 7002/8002 has image quality like the Canon ImagePRESS 6000/7000 BUT with the Xerox build quality. Definitely worth considering.

    Pages sticking together

Hi Jon. We are looking to get our 5000 upgraded to an AP. Apart from the problem you mention above, have you found it to be a benefit? Any feedback would be useful and very much appreciated. Regards. Lee.

    Advice please folks!

Thanks billyinlasvegas for the reply. I don't think it's the 4110 that's the problem, but the fact that we haven't got an external RIP, just the bustled controller. Not really sure what you mean by "programming exceptions" and running "ordered stock"?
