... a pre-press "check sheet" that they pass on to client's?

ie: something they fill in when they send you a disc, with info like:

Bleed, fonts, application, scans, proofs etc etc?

Yes we did have in Swedish, been working on getting it up to date and translated to a an interactive help/support.
I would really reccomend looking at the GWG site (Ghent PDF Workgroup | Home | Free Tools For Print & Production Workflows Built For You) though some great material, and it's all "standards" wich can be a help giving you the authority when speaking with some clients.
