Hi, PPC is the name of the proprietary application from Komori for press presetting. From memory it could accept TIFF, PS, PPF data, then directly interfaced with the Komori press. I think it was supplied by Komori with the Press front end.....

hi peter, use the scriptmaker in FM to write the JDF (from templates) that saves the file into a hotfolder that is picked up by backstage JDF module. easy :)

assuming that these test files are bitmap, make sure the CopyDot recognition is turned ON. and that the placed files are not rotated or distorted in anyway. have you read the manual?

i had simular issue using i1iO but on parallels. only way around was bootcamp or win pc

if you have backstage, have the smartnames rename your file to image_PANTONE 485 C.tif

do you connect to the server afp or smb?

Re: PackEdge i personally think packedge stomps all over artpro. more tools, more stable and best of all runs on windows. i have herd that they will merge the two products. key technologies will be the same, but still artpro for mac and packedge for windows.

Re: Pantone reproduction accuracy are you using the destination profile for pms matching in the convert special inks option? we use the constant hue option aswell so the really bright color dont shift to much. also kalidoscope will throw the color of specials that are not exactly named right...
