Color migration from 1st unit to 2nd unit

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are currently printing on the blue on the first unit ( we are using a two colour press ) with no ink / impression on the second unit. I do see the blue ink building up on the blanket of the second unit.

Color migration from 1st unit to 2nd unit

We are printing the yellow spot color on top of the blue. The area where the yellow print would go is "whited out" on the blue print so the two colours only overlap each other in the areas where there is trapping. Our press is a two colour press.

Color migration from 1st unit to 2nd unit

We would normally run the yellow ( lighter coverage ) on the first unit followed by the blue ( heavier coverage ). If we do this there is no problem with ink migration. However, we have problem with our second unit ( visible whitish bars during printing ) which forced me to try switching the...

Color migration from 1st unit to 2nd unit

We are printing a blue spot color ( about 80% coverage ) on first unit and a yellow spot color ( about 5% coverage ) on the second unit. As they are printing, the yellow print is coming out greenish. When they are printed seperately, the yellow and blue print out alright. Our press operator...

    Plate Clamp bars

The reason why I am asking is because on our sheet the print is in register on the sides but as you go towards the center of the sheet it starts to go out of register. When they reversed the plate clamp the center part of the sheet was in register but the sides are no longer in register.

    Plate Clamp bars

Is there a specific orientation for the plate clamp bars on an old Heidelberg SORDZ ( circa 1970's )? Our operator took out the plate clamp bar and "reversed it" so that what was orignally at the tail end of the plate now grips the front end of the plate. Thanks.

    Conventional Dampening Covers

Our presses are using a conventional dampening system with a nylon based molleton dampening cover. According to our operator, the dampening cover we are using is "too slippery" when wet making it difficult for him to control the water during the press run. Does anyone have this sample problem...

    Dried things on the rollers.

This normally happens when we use a particular ink supplier. When we use a different ink the problem seems to go away. We are currently using DS Chemport's roller and blanket wash. For our fountain solution we are using VARN's SUPREME 7086. We'll try using a decalcifier to if it solves the...

    Dried things on the rollers.

After cleaning the rollers we've notice that there is a hard smooth white deposit on the rollers. The only way was can remove them is if we use a deglazer. I've included pictures of what the rollers look like. Does anyone know what the cause is and how to prevent it? Thanks.

Best method to press bearings onto the rollers

Thanks. I'll double check with to see if my supplier can do that for me. My only concern is that they may sometimes loose spacers or bearings if they are already attached to the roller when we send them to have the roller recovered ( this had happened before ). But in cases where we need to...
