Canon 7010 and GPA Perm Label Stock

Have you tried the label type setting? Another option would be to run it uncoated lighter than 150GSM - you'd only pass through a single fuser this way... You might have to play with the fan's in the drawer for feeding if you went that route, though.

help in major problem in Canon 6010

Just FYI Toner4Brains the canon engine does have the capability you mention in the engine calibration procedure. One part of the calibration measures steps cross track (operator side to gear side) and the other measures steps in-track (lead edge to tail edge of sheet).

help in major problem in Canon 6010

It sounds like you have an uneven charge across the sheet. This issue can be fixed with a simple engine calibration. The canon has 3 calibration steps... shading correction, full auto gradation, and RIP calibration. Your canon service tech can walk you through this process. It should become a...

    Canon 7010 VP Printing Help

amw18 is right. A fiery is generally a fiery, despite some of the differences between equipment manufacturers (though there are some exceptions). Creating a custom paper type on the engine as suggested would be your best bet. You'd want to increase the secondary transfer voltage to pull more...

    Micropress and Fiery together?

I used to work at an equipment manufacturer and can confirm that it is not recommended to use the Fiery and MP simultaneously or interchangeably on your digital press. In fact, if you try to do this, you are likely to have frequent problems (connection being dropped, fiery queue being cleared...

    Photobook solution

There is an alternative to Flexbind that you may want to take a look at specifically for photobooks. It uses panoramic papers from Mohawk Paper and binding technology from Convertible Solutions. (Mohawk Fine Papers, Inc. — Premium Papers) On the equipment side, you really have to determine what...

KM c6501 or Canon 6010??? I need some help...

I would recommend asking both companies to show you their version of what they call a 'customer expectation document.' They should also both be able to find you a current reference customer you could talk to about performance of the engine in an actual in-plant or production environment. I...

    Icc profiling c7000vp

I apologize, I'm having trouble understanding your question. Let me take a few more stabs at what I think you're trying to ask. Q. Is the process for profiling offset the same for digital? - In theory it is mostly the same. You basically choose a target to characterize a condition of the...

    Icc profiling c7000vp

You will want to make an ICC for each stock you run most frequently to have the best results. (for example: you will have one ICC for plain uncoated paper vs. heavy coated paper). Paper thickness as well as white point will play into this, not just coating. May I ask which controller you...

    Xerox 700 Fiery Photo Sharpness?

Hi Joe, Just to clarify, the particular sharpness adjustment setting on the Fiery you are referring to is exclusive to Canon. Others are correct in that output sharpness is a function of the both the engine screening and the RIP data processing, but it appears you already tried this. Good luck!

    Canon 6000vp Blues

JMSDP - if you want to DM me some more information...where you are, total impressions on the engine, what dealer is servicing you, and what kind of issues you're having (and if it's repetitive problems) I might be able to do some investigating on my side from Canon Corporate. You shouldn't be...

    X8002 or C7000VP

Regarding color consistency during a run, an internal measurement and correction method is not a unique feature to any one manufacturer. The canon product has real time calibration, which is comprised of internal density measurements of each colorant during a run to achieve consistency. I would...

    X8002 or C7000VP

Quality is in the eye of the beholder, but I would recommend you see samples from both engines on a variety of media (coated/uncoated). The new Xerox product still uses fuser oil. This can often lead to shinny toner on uncoated media. This can also be the cause of uneven light reflectance of...
