I cannot run gloss paper on my Ikon CPP660

Sorry..out of the large feed unit, so tray 4 and 5. They seem to be replacing feed tires like crazy, and even told me there is a TSB about gloss paper that needs a new style feed roller. But i seem to be wearing these tires out faster than normal....

I cannot run gloss paper on my Ikon CPP660

And Ikon is blaming me. They say i am running paper that is not within spec. Currently i am trying to run Galerie Art 100lb text. 4/4 12x18 and unless i put 30 or less sheets in the PFU it will jam in the tray.

Where can i find a chart that describes the various KM6501 sytem levels?

My machine has the LS-502 but the finisher is different than on the "options" page you point to. Ikon calls it a "booklet finisher" but it does not look much different than the "folder" on the KM page. But it does fold and staple...which for me is enough. The curious thing is that is does not...

Where can i find a chart that describes the various KM6501 sytem levels?

yes this is a very nice copier and i am loving it more every day....i do have the pro80 with the latest software and firmware. I am sure i could have a better finisher, but because it is a demo which allows me to get such a great deal on it, i have to take the standard booklet maker with cover...

Where can i find a chart that describes the various KM6501 sytem levels?

My machine looks "similar' to that picture, except it has the double tray feed unit, and the booklet finisher. How can you tell the "software level" of the machine by the picture?

Best way to do sequential numbering for raffle tickets, etc.

I also use printer bench pro...we do 12 coupons up on 11x17, and print the background into a variable data master file and then select this master when printing out of PBP and its easy cheezy....now if they would just write the software for a mac:D:D

Where can i find a chart that describes the various KM6501 sytem levels?

I am currently demo'ing a IKON CPP660 which is a re-badged KM6501. I have read in these pages that the only decent KM6501 is a System 7 configuration. I have the fiery pro80 rip on my and it is running Command Workstation. Well according to command workstation my set up is System 3, and the...

    breaking into large format

Because 80% of what i do goes outside, i print directly on to adhesive backed vinyl, and then i have a fairly inexpensive mounter that i use to put the print down onto whatever substrate the job may warrant. Just say NO to spray mount!!! This is the easiest way to get your feet wet and with...

    breaking into large format

wanna hire me? I can't remember the last time i had to reprint something for color or crops...or laminating issues.:p I pay about $1 a sq or less for adhesive vinyl plus laminate. Maybe 2 bucks a sq for substrate and i charge $6 sq or $10 a sq mounted. There is money to be made if you have...

    breaking into large format

I have been in the large format business for 15+ years, and am currently running a roland eco sol machine. It is used mostly for exterior signage and interior displays. I used ot be in the highend giclee world, and if you are contemplating that, let me come over and knock you in the head with a...

Ikon or Xerox..looking for a printer

I just got a "taste" of the arrogance that I have been hearing about Xerox. I basically handed him the quote from Ikon and let him know that it was up to him to compete or not compete. Xerox doesn't compete on price with anyone...and i am stupid if i buy a CPP660. And why am i wasting his...

Ikon or Xerox..looking for a printer

Ikon or Xerox..looking for a printer

Xerox is back in...they found a 260 demo that they are working out "some fantastic" numbers on and will present them to me tomorrow. They pretty much know what the IKON offer is...so if they come in and match the IKON offer I am right back to the original question...... CPP660 or DC260 ...

Ikon or Xerox..looking for a printer

Good info..thanks!! I moved forward today. IKON agreed to my request that they throw the large feed tray into the lease for no extra cost. I also decided NOT to take advantage of the free copies they were offering if i committed to 15k color copies per month. Being a seasonal business we are...

Ikon or Xerox..looking for a printer

I have already asked IKON for another $100 off per month,,,,,they have quoted it 2 ways to me. The demo unit does not have the large feed box or the cover inserter on it. Both items i want. So they added $100 a month on top of the demo price to bring those 2 items into the deal. I am asking that...
