    Sticker Manufacturers

I am looking to find out who produces large quantities of special shaped stickers on pressure sensitive stock. Although, most are probably produced in China, I recently came across a booklet of Hallmark stickers made in the USA. Hallmark is obviously one of them..... Any ideas?

    man roland packing

It depends, Manroland traditionally packs .05mm/.002" above bearer. For the plate and the blanket. When run on bearers, this generates the .1mm/.004" squeeze. If you're not getting enough squeeze to the paper, increase the blanket to .1mm/.004" above bearer, adjust the plate packing to 0 or back...

    Perf Plates

Perf Configuration Perf Configuration Paul, First, do you want to do this on a web or sheetfed press. If web, with or without perf unit. If you have a perf unit (usally consists of a blanket and plate cylinder only) you just burn the plate and mount the Litho Perf. On the sheetfed press it's...

    haze on sheet edges

Bill, It certainly could be the fountain solution, but I am tending more towards settings or an electronical problem. Open settings of dosing roller to chrome (You did this already) and to oscillator, and check all the other water roller too. If they squeeze to hard, you have to increase the...

    haze on sheet edges

Bill, When you say you raise the water to 75%, do you have too much water on the plate? Or is it still dry? Try this, reduce the press speed when the haze starts, if it gets worse, increase the speed and see what it does. This could point towards an issue with the electronic water/speed control.

    haze on sheet edges

Bill, This occurs in both units? 2 & 3. and only on the gear and op. side, or does it smear all across the sheet? I would check the fountain solution, ink and paper, doing the same thing in two units doesn't sound like a mechanical problem. Don't squeeze the meter roller too hard against the...

    load turner/perf attachment

Bill, I am not familiar with the perf attachment from Heidelberg, but most of those units can only do vertical and horizontal perfs (no L shapes ), while the systems mentioned in my previouse post are much more flexible and let you die cut and kiss cut as well. But your right, you wouldn't be...

    load turner/perf attachment

Are you looking for an application that can be installed in one of the printing units, or an ad on that lets you print 4c and perf? The PPP System or the IOC System are the most popular and of course there is still LithoPerf

    Presstek cylinder pressures

That's right, but the discrepancies are from the conversion metric/standard. The press has a 2.55mm blanket cylinder undercut. The manufacturer recommends the blanket to be .1mm above bearer and the plate, since it's off a roll is on the plate cylinder without packing. The two cylinders run on...

    Presstek cylinder pressures

You are right, the diagram looks weird. The squeeze should almost always be .1mm/.004" between plate and blanket and about the same to the substrate. If you pack the blanket above bearer, the plate is most likely on bearer height. This gives you the .1mm squeeze.

    Die Cutting

You could use an IOC Die to diecut on an offset press. See IOC : Inline Offset Cutting

For a 40" Press, the PPP runs about $3200. Please go to our PPP Page or the IOC Page for more information. Frank
