Laminate peeling after perfect binding (DigiBond and Konica Minolta toner)

I had that problem too. As been suggested.. Less toner thickness helps. And thinner lam film. Also I increased laminating temp, and slowed down the process to have glue bond properly. That can affect color, but generally not a big issue with GEC. It worked. Later went to a pneumatic laminator...

Shopping for a new Digital Press...

I worked 10 years in a xerox shop. The owner, the most sweet mild mannered guy you'd want to meet. BUT, everytime he had to meet with xerox over their messed up billing, he would emerge red faced, angry as hell, totally out of character. Ready to do someone in.

Shopping for a new Digital Press...

Much depends on the paper brand/line.. 3 different brands of 350gsm, might have totally diff characteristics. Stiffer/softer/grain etc.. Test what you expect to run.

    Ricoh 9210 - Shrinkage

On the Oce's I ran, usually meant the image transfer belts were due to replace. Or.. just re-calibrate your image magnification.

    At the Interview

Couple of interviews I went to (back in the day) I told the manger interviewer.. It was his job I wanted. Not a paper loader job. No I didn't get either. :)

Does anyone use AI within the Print Industry

IMHO.. The more you farm out to AI, the dumber you get. It's the struggle that makes you better, not necessarily the result.

    Versant 2100 Mixed Media Speed...

Never ran Versant. Never had good performance with different weights, unless I lied.. Told machine all the same weight. Yes, that can be a problem. Then print separate, and collate manually. Or insert on the fly after preprinting.

    Konica Minolta Envelope Printing

I don't know if this is any help, but in years of running different machines,,.. Sometimes the sheet metal will warp, or screws loosen and change the paper path characteristics. I would stick little rubber knobs to keep things open, or just use a little brute force, hands, to bend things a...

Removing Oce\Canon PrismaPrepare page programming data from PDF files?

If you're merging VDP data in Prisma, you'll likely lose that. Or it will get confused. Don't know for sure. I always VDP separately, then program pages in Prisma.

Removing Oce\Canon PrismaPrepare page programming data from PDF files?

Simple way, change the page count.. OUTSIDE OF PRISMA. Add a blank page and save (in front of the doc) with acrobat, for example. Reopen file in Prisma, programming should be gone. With a little warning screen. Been a few months. But should work. Delete the extra page, re-program everything.

CanonIX 3200i w/ Prisma Trying to run NCR

I've done a lot of variable data. ALL of it pre-printed to PDF. Send PDF to print. Sucks trying to do variable, live on line. Prepared PDF allows you to see actual results before print a dozen pieces wrong. Esp. on IX with it super long paper path.

    Challenge 305 CRT went bad

Open the face cover, look for a 2 lead wire plugs into a couple pins right at the front nearest to you, left-ish side. Wiggle it around some. See if display lights or flickers. Right next to that on the right (from memory) you'll see a couple of diodes. wiggle those with your fingers too. (Very...

    Morgana Digifold Purchase

A Baum 714 folder would also work well for you. Probably half the price of Morgana, plenty used ones available. An industry standard reliable workhorse. Easy to maintain etc. Just saying.
