    I'm sorry, I should instead have mentioned that Pantone Connect is the current monthly rental service by which to obtain the L*a*b* value. As of this year, Pantone stopped a recent practice of releasing the L*a*b* value for the color of the year.

    Pantone libraries still available...

    The fan decks in Publisher 2.0 do not include the Cotton TCX deck, which is what Pantone references for their "Color of the Year". Not sure if this holds any actual importance in print design.

    https://www.pantone.com/customer-service/software-download If you have an xrite color measurement device or an xrite dongle for I1profiler, you can download and use Pantone Color Manager. Pantone Color Manager can produce ASE, ACB. ACO, CXF, and CGATS files for most Pantone fan decks.
