American Eagle Paper Mills has a new line of antimicrobial paper that help to minimize the transmission of communicable diseases. The Eagle Armour suite of paper products is treated with Biomaster® silver-ion technology that inhibits the growth of bacteria for the lifetime of the paper.

Laboratory testing was conducted by RIT and showed no noticeable difference in print quality between the antimicrobial treated paper versus untreated control paper. An independent laboratory also found the treated paper demonstrated a 99.9% reduction in non-pathogenic bacteria.

According to Biomaster USA—supplier of the EPA registered antimicrobial silver-ion technology—silver is a natural element in the environment, interacting with the molecular processes within microorganisms, and results in the inhibition of growth and prevents DNA replication & new cell formation. Target markets include: hospitals, clinics, medical offices, long term care & assisted living facilities, restaurants, food services, schools.

Just for clarity...
Since American Eagle Paper is talking about bacteria while people are thinking about viruses...
In terms of scale, if a virus was the size of a human, then a bacteria would be about the size of King Kong.
A virus would likely have no trouble passing through a barrier designed to stop bacteria.
