Anyone know where this wire goes on a Duplo DC-445 (or have a service manual they can share)?

My Duplo DC-445 cut out the other day while the input bed was lifting and it's been completely dead since.

I decided to take a look at it today and there's two PSU boards (I'm assuming) which look virtually identical. One board was loose and not screwed down while the other board is firmly fixed into place.

Near the board that was loose, I found this red white with a fuse in it, completely detached. I have taken the loose board out and can't see where it would go. I'm going to try taking the second board out and compare the two but thought I'd post on here first as the second board seems a bit more tricky to get out.

I should say, the machine was bought a few years back as a refurbished machine so I don't know if this red cable is an attempt at a repair or whether it's meant to be there but the machine has worked fine until last week.

Any ideas?

right above the word caution on the board print there is a small hole and about a inch into the board there is another hole. The red wires go in there. Someone bypassed the fuse that is usually mounted on the board. If that is where it goes it should have been sodered in place.
That is a power supply for the machine I see there are 2 of them in the machine. 120 volt to 12 or 24 volt

Thanks, yeh I took the other board out before I left work yesterday and spotted the fuse on the one board that's not on this one so came to the same conclusion. The one end of the wire has part of the trace still attached so managed to find where it was from.

I've got a soldering iron, wire and flux coming today so will have a go at resoldering it in place....have soldered wires for music gear in the past but never to a PCB haha...thankfully all the components on this board are quite large so don't need a microscope. Will post pack when I've had a go at fixing it.

Just thought I'd post an update.

I ended up having to expose some of the trace on both ends of where the fuse should have gone as the second pad broke off after I soldered it back into place, however, it's now powering on. I've not tried running it as I've not screwed the boards back in yet but will do that tomorrow but it didn't power on at all previously.

The solder that came with the soldering iron is absolutely rubbish though so I do fully expect to have to resolder the connections again in the future but will see how it goes - I'll get some solder and keep it on hand.

I appreciate your wisdom though @Pennypicher - the cheapest quote I had for someone to come take a look was £240 before even knowing whether they could fix it so saved a good chunk of change and potentially saved buying a new machine
