Anyone using ink optimization in their worklflow?

We use GMG ink optimiser also, our ink spend prior to moving to this system was 2.3 million per anum a conservative theoretical ink savings would by 5 - 15 %, dependent on your settings.

so far this year we are tracking at 8% actual and have CIP3 data to confirm this, as mentioned before its as simple as dragging and dropping a file.

Our newspaper division use the Agfa Optiink and have a very agressive ink optimiser setting, next step in ink savings is to trial screened solids ( for newsprint)

We use "Binuscan CMS Server" with very good results! Our first goal was not to save ink but to print ISO-standard, the ink-save, faster drying and shorter start-up was just a bonus.
And we can now print with FM screening and the result actually matches our Fogra39 proof.

I believe that a Fogra39 proof is based on the data of presswork done with an AM screen of 60 lpcm. Can you explain how the use of ink optimization has allowed FM screening (20 micron?) on press to now match the proof?

I ask because in my experience the comparison below is what is usually the case. Here is the Fogra 39 gamut compared with a 20 micron FM screen gamut printed to GRACoL7. The solid inner gamut is Fogra 39. The outer transparent gamut is 20 micron FM:

There is clearly a difference with the FM having a larger gamut.
Do you have profiles that you could share?
