Barcode Software That Works With Jetrion 4000/4900 Roll to Roll Printers

I'm researching online for label/barcode design software that generates VDP files for use with the Jetrion 4000/4900 roll to roll printers from EFI that use Mercury to drive the machine. Does anyone have experience in this type of set up and could give some sort of guidance or direction?

EFI has their Label Designer which they never fully developed. Now that EFI sold the Jetrion line to Xeikon, Im having trouble getting concrete answers.

I believe EFI Label Designer is the only one that would work with Mercury.
